Lovely, poignant, set of framed WW1 postcards. Two show a french soldier and a British soldier clutching flags and shaking hands. One shows them holding their respective flags and says (in English and French): "Victorious emblems, symbols of Liberty!" The other shows them shaking hands and says: "We swear. All for Victory". The central photograph is of an unamed woman from the same period. All three are dated July 1916 - that date marked the end of the Battle of Verdun and the start of the Battle of the Somme
