Fantastic, early example of the British design classic. Created by Robert Dudley Best in 1930 after visting the Bauhaus in Germany, it is one of the first examples of British modernist design. The Bestlite was owned and loved by figures as renowned as Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill. Difficult to date it exactly, but it is an early example, possibly even from the 30's. Professionaly rewired, and fitted with a floor switch. this is very rare item.
